Lovely haiku, welcome to Haiku Heights and glad that you shared your first one with us. It is a very nice 3-5-3 set.
I think it's best that you don't compare with others to know how good you are! I mean, compared to the inspiring poets like Shakespeare and Wordsworth and Yeats etc. we're still ants in the poetry world, only growing as we learn and write more.

When I saw the prompt word was joy, dolphins were the first thing that came to mind. It's my favourite animal, always cheers me up!
